Where can you kayak down a river and see alligators and palm trees? Most would answer the Amazon, but this is the USA, so it has to be Southern Florida---the Everglades actually---in February. Those poor people back home in Iowa, freezing to death! Unfortunately, we had to soon return to the same. But we love our four seasons, don't we???
